Wednesday November 20, 2019

This morning starts off mild and uneventful, but it will become breezy today, making if feel chilly. The next weather systems will be rain on Friday evening then more rain on Saturday night. This will mix with ice and end with snow in the mountains of western Maryland.

Below I am showing a look ahead to Thanksgiving. It is one week away, so this will be a good spot to see how the computer models re behaving in the time frame with the holiday as a marker.  For now a large storm in the central US is set to bring us rain Wednesday then windy and cooler on Thanksgiving Day.

NEW FITF GEAR THIS YEAR

  • Thanks to Shannon (weather wife) who wanted to bring these hats to life.  *Mustard is her favorite color
  • The Maryland Hoodie is high quality and a new way to show off our love of Snow and State.
  • The T-shirt… Something you may find familiar. Why just a T? Because many schools I visit have the heat on high for faculty and staff. But you can put a long sleeve underneath for cool look.  I will have wifey model these soon 🙂

Looking Ahead

Thanksgiving Travel Day Storm

A large storm in the upper Midwest could bring us moderate to heavy rain on Wednesday. Thanksgiving Day should follow with colder, windy, and dry weather. This 8 days away, so use this benchmark to compare for any model errors.
