Monday October 14 2019

Some needed rain is on the way. A good soaker will build in on Wednesday with a coastal system and could bring 1 to 2 inches of needed rain to our drought stricken region. This would be the first time in nearly two months. But before that, we have a warm day today.

This morning starts with areas of fog. It is thickest in the northern valleys and some schools have delays on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.  The sun will come out and the afternoon will be the warmest of the week today. Flooding from high water on the Chesapeake Bay has one more high tide to go but will begin to ease. We have passed the full moon and Tropical Storm Melissa is moving father away. So the water level will gradually drain back into the Atlantic.

Temperature Outlook

Cold air will follow the storm. There is plenty of it in the western US and this should bring the first frost for many inland suburbs Friday and Saturday mornings. The forecast below shows Baltimore and lows at night for the following morning.
