What do you get with a clear sky, longer night, and a light southeast wind? Look outside and you should see clouds, and many places have mist or drizzle to add to that. The damp start is more likely just inland where air is rising with the terrain forcing more droplets to form. This should diminish this morning, but we will be left with a mostly cloudy sky, however some rain showers could reach our far inland areas this afternoon.

Rain will be on the way later Monday into Tuesday, but the front will fall apart when it reaches central Maryland. So despite some relief, a lot of areas in moderate drought could miss out of this one.
