Tuesday October 1 2019
A brand new month but the returning old weather. We have one more push of summer heat for the next two days. It does look like this might be the last one for a while but it will be a record breaker. As the almanac shows below, Baltimore should see highs in the lower 70s to start October, but this first day of the month has been up to 91ºF in 1941. That same year posted the hottest October temperature at 97ºF on October 5 in 1941. I say that because this week will NOT be that hot, but it will break one record tomorrow.
October 2 record was 89ºF set in 1986, and we should reach the 90s. Then we will break the heat and get a little rain. By Saturday, high temperatures will be in the 60s. That might be a little shock to the system, but we will settle back to ‘normal’ next week.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month
