Thursday September 19 2019

The chill in the air this morning may be a precursor of autumn which begins on September 23 the year. But it won’t last long. The distant suburbs start in the 40s and lower 50s, but the very dry air and sun will allow for a nice warm up this afternoon. Then we turn the corner and get back to the upper 80s and close to 90ºF this weekend.

Blocking High Pressure remains in control for us and get use to it. With the exception of a chance of showers next Monday, it looks dry through next week. Our drought conditions are building, and I will have an update on that later today. Meanwhile, parts of east Texas have serious flooding after over 20 inches of rain has fallen from Imelda. In the Atlantic, Hurricane Humberto is moving away from Bermuda, but Tropical Storm Jerry is expected to become a hurricane and track brings it Bermuda.
