Tuesday August 27 2019

We are sandwiched between a lot of weather activity today. The cool winds off of the Atlantic continue to keep temperatures below average and will add some rain showers today. More rain is likely tomorrow with a cold front, but that will switch the winds and actually bring in warmer air for the second half of the week and Labor Day weekend.

Off of the coast, a new Tropical Depression Six has been identified. This will drift away, but may enhance the beach erosion over the week. Farther out is Tropical Storm Dorian entering the Caribbean.

Tropical Set Up

Tropical Depression 6 has winds of 30 mph and is drifting away from the coast. The cold front we expect for us on Wednesday will help to keep this off of the coast.

Tropical Storm Dorian has lost some steam. Winds are down to 50 mph as it enters the Caribbean. It is expected to remain a tropical storm and fight off upper level wind shear as it passed Puerto Rico and aims for the Bahamas and Florida this weekend.
