This morning we are still sorting through the numerous weather related storm damage reports. There was a lot yesterday and reaching 98ºF at BWI was the fuel. Today we get a little break from the high heat, but still like to hit the lower 90s. Friday through this weekend, we will be back under the heat dome! As a result, an Excessive Heat Watch has been issued for Friday through Sunday. Heat Index Values will be between 105ºF to 115ºF.

But wait! There is hope for a dramatic change next week with temperatures back below average. See more below.

The heat will peak this weekend, but the jet stream next week shows a dramatic change to below normal temperatures

 

Morning Temperatures 

I mentioned a break, but you may not notice it this morning. These were the temperatures at 6 AM: Mid 70s to near 80ºF. It’s quite sticky

Average  Low: 67ºF

Record Low:  57ºF in 2014

The HRRR and NAM 3 Km models both show a line of storms developing, but the location is very different.

HRRR: This shows a line north of Baltimore at 2 PM

 

 

NAM 3Km shows the line a little later, farther south neat the Bay Bridge and on to the Eastern Shore
