Wednesday July 17 2019

A Heat Advisory goes into effect today for central Maryland around the Chesapeake Bay as higher humidity will make it feel like over 100ºF. It will feel even hotter in metro Philadelphia with an Excessive Heat Warning there.

Later today some storms will arrive from the remains of former Hurricane Barry and feed off of the high heat. If the line holds together it will provide brief relief from the heat, but then add more humidity to the air that continues to heat up through the weekend.

After storms today, the risk of rain may hold off until Sunday night. That means your plants and flowers may need to be watered daily.

Temperature Outlook

It has been a few years since Baltimore had a 100ºF day. It could happen this weekend. The modeling is lower than the past few days… which was too hot. But still showing triple digits
