Sunday May 5 2019
Bands of heavy rain already have set up this morning across northern Maryland and southern Pennsylvania. This is part of the larger storm system that will be with us all day. The steady rain will continue through mid day, then it may break up into showers, but some heavier bands are possible and the focus will shift to strong or severe storms on our southern end into the evening.
Most of our region will remain cool in the 60s today. Some of our northern areas will drop into the upper 50s this afternoon, while some warming to the 70s in southern Maryland will be where the late day storms may thrive.
