Wednesday April 3 2019

The strong storm may look like a hurricane off of the east coast. The satellite loop shows it wrapping up tightly, which also means there is a tight pressure gradient. Dry air is in place and strong winds will help us warm into the 60s in a hurry. But it also means our fire danger will be elevated to critical. That might sound ironic considering all of the rainfall we have had lately, but The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning. More on that below.

The Orioles home opener should be mild, but clouds will be increasing again.  Then the outlook does bring in some rain Thursday night into Friday. More like showers, not a washout. What follows appears to be a shift to more sustained spring temperatures.

Morning Storm Satellite

This does look like a tropical system. Let’s see if s real one repeats the location in about 6 months. That would be early October.
