Friday November 23 2018
A Winter Weather Advisory is in place from 6 AM to noon on Saturday November 24 2018. This includes Carroll, Frederick, and western portions of Howard and Montgomery Counties in Maryland. In Pennsylvania: Adams County and westward. In Virginia: Loudon and Fauquier and westward.
With temperatures holding around freezing and clouds in place, the ground has remains cold. Add that in with the confirming pattern of faster arriving systems, and we have the risk for ice Saturday morning. So the irony on this Black Friday shopping day is that Saturday morning may have ‘black ice’. That risk however, is not for all of us, and not for long. If anything, just a couple of hours as temps will warm by noon.
This is a matter of location, so most metro areas and around the Bay have nothing to worry about. Inland however, might have some light ice to deal with around daybreak.
