Sunday November 4 2018
The active storm pattern will be racing into our region to start the work week. Rain will move in overnight and be with us for the Monday commute. The rain may be heavy just as traffic hit the peak rush hour fore Washington, Baltimore, and York PA. The rain may be heavy at times through mid day, then taper off in the afternoon. But another round of rain will be more intense on Tuesday. Election Day may be a bumpy ride as a line of storms has a slight risk of turning severe. Track the timelines for both rain events in the simulations below.
First, Here is a look at the radar loop Sunday evening. This is the system coming together for us. A line of strong storms from the Ohio and Mississippi Valleys will combine with a cluster of moderate rain across Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina. If this was winter time, we would be set up for a good phasing event. I mention that because this pattern seems to be repeating and likely to set up again in the winter.
