Friday November 2 2018
The rain on the way is looking more impressive. Low Pressure rising along a front should be intensifying and reaching its peak as it crossed central Maryland. It’s almost like we still have a bullseye on our back. A combination of a very warm and somewhat humid November day and seasonally cold air will clash along a cold front right over our region tonight. The good thing is that it will be overnight so the punch will not be maximized as it could during the day. But it will be on the strong side. Heavy rain with gusty winds may have some lighting and thunder. There is a marginal risk for storms to turn severe.
Rain will increase this evening at the tail end of the commute, but if you have evening plans you might get caught in the mix. The strongest rain will be crossing our area between 7 PM and 10 PM. This is highlighted in the hourly timeline slider below.
First, here’s the afternoon radar loop:
Friday Evening Radar Simulation —> slider
The radar should show intensifying rain after 7 PM. Metro Baltimore will get the most intense rain and winds between 8 PM and 11 PM

Saturday Morning
The main event will be gone, but showers will linger in the colder air. Western Maryland will be transitioning to snow that will last after sunrise. The rain will fade away during the morning, but chilly winds will hold highs in the low to middle 50s.
Western Maryland may once again get a coating to 2 inches of snow to sick.
