The end of a very wet summer is abbot to come with a wet start to autumn. The official season transition will be on the autumnal equinox at 9:54 PM. The day leading up to it will start to show rain creeping in, but most of us remain dry. The best chance for rain will be in southern PA, the VA mountains, and possibly a jet streak brining in a thin band of shower into central Maryland. This is worth seeing below. Tonight the rain returns leading us to a chilly and wet Sunday. If you are going to the Ravens game you may have already heard to dress warmly and try to stay dry. That wet patter will stay with us most of the week.
A cold front is moving through today and will stall. The severe weather outbreak it produces to our north yesterday will skip to our south. The Low Pressure in east Texas will bring in tropical moisture and send rain our way just about each day next week… with the outlook to dry out by Friday. Here is a look at the timeline with sliders for today, tomorrow, and animation for next week.
