August 31 2018
Labor Day Weekend is now here and temperatures are still warm and muggy this morning. The difference is that we have already had some rain and storms marking the pattern change. Temperatures will not be as hot, but we will remain sticky through the holiday weekend. The risk of rain will not mean a complete washout, but there will be showers and storms today, and scattered into the weekend.
Summer is not done yet. The heat will return next week and test the completion installation of air conditioning systems in older schools.

A cold front is stalled over our region, which will help focus developing showers and storms. Where the actual front settles or meanders over the weekend will determine the best risk for storms.

The meandering of the front will determine where the showers set up. There is a 50 mile wiggle room for where that could be. Here is the best bet this morning with prime focus lunch time into early afternoon.
