Monday July 2 2018
On Sunday BWI reached 96ºF and it looks like today may be just a little warmer. We are still not going to challenge the record, but it may challenge your patience. It will be uncomfortable and unsafe at times. The Heat Advisory means heat index values could top 100ºF and you should limit your outdoor activities during the afternoon. Please be mindful of pets outdoors, or if you do not have air conditioning, provide plenty of water for all living creatures around. Tomorrow will be cooler just hang on.
Storms will erupt in the mountain of western Maryland, but hit a road block near Hagerstown. There may be some showers pop up this evening or tonight, but they will be isolated. We have a slightly better chance of showers Tuesday. Then the outlook shows a widespread expansion of storms that could turn severe on Friday.
