Sunday June 24
Today should allow most of us to salvage part of the weekend. The cold front has not completely cleared the region, but a partly cloudy sky means more sun and warmer temperatures. Yes, there is still a threat of showers or a thunderstorm, but that will be more miss than hit (30% chance) and later in the afternoon.Southern Maryland may have some morning showers and a greater risk of stronger storms this afternoon. The radar simulation is below.
The week ahead looks nice. Temps will be cooler than average for the next few days, then heat up to the 90s next weekend. The risk of rain will be low, with the next front more likely bringing mountain storms staying in the mountains Wednesday.
