Wow! What a storm on Saturday. The Severe Thunderstorm potential exceeded its potential as large hail fell across metro Baltimore. The largest I had seen was this golf ball size hail stone in Catonsville. I will have a follow up report on the storm report later. Today will NOT be as intense, but we could get more storms. For now, I wanted to focus on Mothers Day weather and the rain timeline. This will NOT be a washout, but there will be more rain north of Baltimore into southern PA. There will be some heavier storms this evening again. But with cooler temps, there is less energy.

Morning Set Up

We are on the cool side of that same stationary front. Winds are from the east and northeast, holding most temps in the 50s and 60s.  These will not move much today.  On the other side, sun and winds from the southwest… Temps already in the 70s in southern Virginia.
