Happy Teachers Appreciation Day! The weather will be nearly identical to yesterday with comfortable temperatures and low humidity. Starting in the mid 50s and reaching the mid 70s… That should help with windows open in classrooms. Please remind your friends that might say we never have a real spring, this week is it! There may be a stray shower in the hills and mountains today, and low clouds at the beaches. Otherwise, almost perfect! However there will be some heat building this weekend and a chance for a shower on Mothers Day.

Afternoon Rain?
The GFS Model shows rain this afternoon into the evening in the mountains. But the HRRR shows showers creeping in a little closer…

Here we see some showers that might get as close as Carroll and York Counties. Most of central Maryland should remain dry.

Weekend Outlook
The temps will warm into the upper 80s both Saturday and Sunday. A cold front will approach on Sunday that may bring showers on Mother’s Day. I would not change your plans. This is likely a brief passing shower or showers lasting maybe an hour or two.

A warm pattern through the weekend.
