You will noting the drop in temperatures and humidity today. A fresh air mass has moved in and will keep most of our temperatures closer to 80ºF today. There is a small chance a lingering disturbance aloft could produce more clouds and showers on the Eastern Shore, but overall this will be a quiet day region wide.

Wednesday will feature a wind from the east, which will keep us cooler and may produce clouds from the ‘Bay to the ocean The next surge of energy will reach us Thursday night and into Friday. There is a slight risk for severe storms that once again could arrive overnight and into the early morning hours. Then we should finally break the pattern for a nice weeekend. Here is a quick look at the timeline below:

Temperature Outlook

The line graph shows the expected temps, but the top and bottom bars represent a range within the model structure. You may consider this the range for the region, especially the cooler locations by the water and farther north/west in the mountains. Notice that there is no significant heat waves expected into early August.
