Sunday June 11
We have already reached the 90s this year, but this time it will be different. It was back on May 17-19 when Baltimore hit the lower 90s for three days in a row. This time we will push the mid to upper 90sThe string of days ahead will add more humidity and heat index values topping 100ºF. Plus the length of the daylight will make it seem impact more of the days. The break will come mid week as building humidity will increase our threat of thunderstorms starting Wednesday. The second half of the week and part of next weekend will be a bit stormy.
Temperature Records:
The average high for today in Baltimore is 82ºF. So the forecast puts us 10 to 15 degrees above that. But considering that it is June, heat waves are common. So to reach a record would be a challenge. However, we could make a run for it on Monday and Tuesday (highlighted below)
- June 11 99ºF in 1911
- June 12 96ºF in 1986
- June 13 97ºF in 1956
- June 14 98ºF in 1994
- June 15 101ºF in 1994
