Friday April 21 – Thanks to the storms last night, there is some fog this morning that has already led to school delays on the Eastern Shore. Another batch of rain is moving through north of Baltimore, but expect that to expand south during the morning. Some of this may be heavy in Southern PA, Baltimore, Harford, and Cecil counties at the bus stop and during the commute. The sun will come out mid day, but more storms will fire as well. This will mark the cold front that will take temps from the lower 80s today to the lower 60s over the weekend. At this point, it looks like more rain moves in Saturday evening until Sunday morning, but there is some hope for Sunday.

Severe Storms?
Only a ‘marginal’ risk of storms turning severe local today.
Weekend
The next push of rain will be Saturday evening. Some showers may develop in the mountains west and north during he afternoon, but it will at night when rain will spread for most of our area. this is where it gets tricky. Sunday morning should have rain, but the GFS Model more than 100 miles farther south with the wet weather than the NAM 3 KM model actually trying to keep metro Baltimore dry. So many events at that time that makes this a very tricky forecast to lock in on. I am playing the pessimistic side with a wet morning, but there is hope this moves away sooner.
Temperature Outlook
After a cooler stretch into early next week, we will then jump back into the upper 80s or near 90ºF by the end of next week.

Get the award winning Kid Weather App I made with my oldest son and support our love for science, weather, and technology. Our 3 year anniversary of the release and our contribution to STEM education is this November. It has been downloaded in 60 countries, and works in both temperature scales. With your support we can expand on the fun introduction to science and real weather.
