March 31- Well… We need this rain, especially for the wells. The moderate drought across our area is going to take a big hit as rain could possibly add up to 2 inches or more. The trend has been increasing totals with each computer model run. That adds credibility to development of this storm overhead today. Rain will be heavy at times, along with some rumbles of thunders. But the development of Low Pressure over Maryland should keep the cool temps around and limit any severe activity. The radar simulation timeline shows periods of heavy rain mid day and again this evening. Below is the timeline of when we can expect the waves to hit your area. Note, showers may linger Saturday morning, but an improvement will build in as the storm moves away.

Flooding?

There is a Flood Watch for Cecil County and northward.  Also Coastal Flooding possible along the Chesapeake Bay, but I would look out for more advisories being posted as the heavy rain continues this afternoon and evening.

Opening Day Outlook

I really don’t like making promises for this day too far ahead of time. It looks like showers will try to move in later in the day. But at this time I would say the start of the game should be dry. Then 50% chance we stay dry and hold the rain off until later. But that also means we need to watch the development and speed of the rain to our west
