Monday January 30 – The little system overnight did send flurries farther north in the evening through northerner Maryland and into PA. It left a light coating of snow in central Maryland. I know some may be disappointed, but this system did what was expected… and it wasn’t expected to be much. Most roads were just wet this morning, but there are some areas that got over 1 inch of snow in southern Maryland. School delays stretched from Prince Georges to Talbot and Caroline Counties Maryland. The one concern this morning is that temps are getting colder, so some wet pavement could get slick. But the next round of snow showers will arrive lunch time and should not have a road stickage issue.

The cold pattern will send a clipper to our north Tuesday giving us a brief warm up, then we cool down again and look ahead to next weekend. The track of the system for Sunday appears to keep changing, based on the timing of the energy arriving. But there still looks like snow will try to arrive. If you count cards, we are more than overdue for something.  Here’s a look:
