Tuesday January 24 – The strong Nor’easter is still raging across New England, but we missed out on the worst. Snow showers did fall overnight, but temperatures remained above freezing as expected. However, that will change.  Despite a few leftover showers, the storm is departing and another two days of mild weather until winter returns. Winter cold that is.  That is the first part of getting reality back and having Faith in the Flakes.  The good news is that the cold will hold. the down side is that there are no organized systems in sight.  However, not seeing a storm on the long range outlook is not a bad thing.  Many potential systems more than a week away don’t materialize. Out pattern is setting up for something.

Thursday

Rain in the morning wil mark the front that will bring in the colder air. There is a slight chance some of the cold air will catch up on the back end for some snow showers, but the main point will be the drop in temperatures. Highs on Wednesday will be in the 50s, then starting in the 50s but dropping during Thursday.

Much Colder Weekend

Snow Next Week?

The small systems does show some promise for snow showers or light snow. If the bias trend to the north continues, this would more of a central Maryland to Southern PA (minor) event. It’s hope or something. FITF
