Friday Jan 13 – It is Friday the 13th and transition day for us. After the record of 70F yesterday, a cold front is passing through hardly noticed today with the exception of a drop in temperatures. The front will stall to our south and the battle of the next wave of energy will develop snow and an icy mix Saturday. In the interest of time, here is the quick look at the maps. I will elaborate more later in my next post. The short version is that snow will arrive in the morning and there will be a mix to sleet and freezing rain from south to north. The bulk of this will fall mid day into the afternoon. But travel will be impacting from the south in the morning. The evening hours where temps remain near or below freezing will still be icy. There will be near but definitely north and west of Baltimore.
