Winds Ease Mean Warning Tonight For A Freeze

Saturday November 12 – A clear sky might be deceiving today. High Pressure is in control, but a very cold air mass has settled into the region.
screen-shot2016-11-12-08_27_12The good news is that as High Pressure continues to build in, the winds will not be as strong as yesterday. But the sun will struggle to balance out the temps, and we many will stay in the upper 40s to near 50°F.  It is the clear sky and light wind that will allow the temps to tank tonight allowing many areas around the Chesapeake Bay through central and southern Maryland get down to 32°F for the first time this season.  The Freeze Warning map is posted below.  This is the time to consider detaching your garden hose and saying goodbye to the sensitive plants.

Here’s a quick look at the maps, and outlook. Most of next week will have seasonal temps with only a slight chance of rain on Monday night and Tuesday morning.
