Monday September 26 – This is the time of year that often has successive weather systems bringing cooler weather. We already had one front over the weekend provide us with a glorious Sunday. The next cold front on the way tonight will bring us some of that needed rain. This will resemble what happened last week, as Low Pressure will ride along the front and slow it down as it reaches Maryland’s Eastern Shore. The rest of the week will be dominated by an upper level system that develops right on top of us with more rain spread over a few days. It will not rain all the way through, but each day will bring periods of rain that we desperately need. The good news is that should this timeline play out, we will clear out in time for next weekend.
Even Better news: We have the potential for one to three inches of rain to help fill up our depleting reservoirs
Rain Arriving Tonight
Here is the expected timeline for the first round of rain… after sunset for most of us.
Tracking The Developing Wet Pattern
This wider view shows the cold front appearing to stall and then the upper level Low developing over our region. Rain will continue blossom for a few days.
