Weekend Outlook: Wine Then Wet Then Warming

Weekend Outlook: Wine Then Wet Then Warming

screen-shot2016-09-16-05_55_46Friday September 16 – We are currently on the good side of an atmospheric traffic jam off of the east coast. High Pressure is locked in place keeping the east wind flowing, which will hold our temperatures in the 70s. It will also keep Tropical Storm Julia nearly stalled off of the southeast coast. This is important because we are very dry and waiting for needed rain on the way.

The first part of the weekend will be wonderful as temperatures warm a little to near 80°F Saturday afternoon. This will be perfect at the Maryland Wine Festival in Westminster. If you are going, take a moment to say Hi to Patty at The Maryland Store’s tent. She will have some FITF gear there. I know it’s early, but there have already been a lot of school requests for snow gear. I will have new designs this year. My tribute this fall will be to the Eastern Shore. I hope to have that ready next week.

The approaching front from the west will spread clouds across the sky by the end of the day, but the rain will hold off to our west.

Sunday is when the weather system should bring rain to Cleveland for the Ravens game. But for us, I think the bulk of the rain will arrive Sunday night. Again, we have to watch the traffic jam off of the coast to slow things down. The weekend overall looks good for the Orioles series agains the Rays. After the rain, we will warm back up next week.
