Roller Coaster: Temps And Storm Threat Up Saturday Down Sunday

Roller Coaster: Temps And Storm Threat Up Saturday Down Sunday

Friday August 5 – We start the day with clouds and being the climb back up with warmer air on the way. There will be showers and storms today, but mostly in the mountains to our west. However some may creep east after dark. As the wind shifts, the temps will return to the 90s on Saturday. As a strong cold front arrives in the afternoon, the next round of storms will push through, but make way for a really nice end to the weekend and start to next week. That is relief for my team starting our Trek Across Maryland  from the summit of Wisp on Sunday morning.

Here is a quick look the rain timelines. I also wanted to remind you that as my trek approaches, my focus will shift on to the event and children honored for Cool Kids Campaign. I will post some weather updates, but I hope you join in on my journey. Stories will be posted here, and on my Trek Page. A route map and live tracking is at the top. Background stories and link to donate are there as well. We have had a wonderful start before our first step and hope you will join us.
