July 12 – There may be a band of showers after midnight into Wednesday morning. This is the leading edge of a new air mass that will bring back the summer we expected. I was outside this evening and it actually felt cool. That is not typical for mid July, but the real stuff is on the way. Below is the rain as seen on the simulated radar. There might be a brief downpour and rumble of thunder, but nothing severe. Considering the third shifters, early runners, and my fellow brother and sister crabbers, this might be something of a nuisance.
The air mass that follows will be much less comfortable by the afternoon with the surging return of summer stress. Think 90s feeling more like 100°F. Here is a quick look.
