Rain Timeline: Wet Fireworks And Stormy Morning

Rain Timeline: Wet Fireworks And Stormy Morning

July 4 – The rain that moved in this afternoon was just the beginning of what is on the way. While there may be a lull for an hour or two, the rain will build back and increase in intensity tonight. Does you evening plan include viewing fireworks? What should you do?  Some fireworks displays has been cancelled like the Westminster program, with no make up date. Meanwhile Baltimore says the 9:30 PM show at the Inner Harbor will go on as scheduled. I spoke with a fireman with my local festival and they said it is not the rain, but rather wind is the only factor that they are concerned with. So, if you plan on attending  show near you, the radar simulation below is an idea of what you can expect.

Please keep moving the slider and you will see the flare up of heavy rain, and perhaps some natural fireworks with thunderstorms before dawn.  The heavy rain has prompted Flash Flood Watch for parts of the northern Delmarva. See that map below.
