June 27 – After a nearly perfect weather weather by late June standards, we will get an increase of clouds today that will bring in showers and some thunderstorms. Not much appears to turn severe, but the timing may interrupt your plans. The round today will arrive in the mountains and southern Pennsylvania early afternoon and then reach Baltimore between 4PM and 6 PM. At this point it looks like the storms may be weakening as they drop south, With the biggest impact just west and north of Baltimore. But these could get a resurgence across the Chesapeake Bay tonight. That may make for loud boomers south of the Bay Bridge and lower Eastern Shore after dark. A second front will bring scattered showers late Tuesday into Wednesday. Here’s a quick look at the timeline. The main point is that this will reinforce the pattern NOT allowing any heat waves to build for us for at least the next two weeks.
