April 22 2016 – It is Earth Day and our little portion of the blue marble will be lit up with green on local weather radar. We need rain and we will get it, later today. This is the same storm system that was stuck over Texas with flooding, but will move through our region in a day. Baltimore is 1.27 inches below average on rainfall and we will make a little dent in that, but how much depends on where the scattered thunderstorms and downpours line up later today. Overall this will not be a washout, but there will be a band of rain moving in from the west this morning and arrive by lunch time. We have a full moon today and that tends to enhance weather systems, so expect some late day storms to have bevy downpours. That could impact plans for those celebrating the start of Passover at sun-down.
Below is the rain timeline for today. Also note on this Earth Day that our Faith in the Flowers Tote is made with eco-friendly organic cotton. So you can help Save a Limb Fund at Sinai and the Earth at the same time.

Outlook:
Weekend: Only a sprinkle if anything Saturday morning, then we clear out and remain mild.
Next Week: Two more chances for rain showers on Tuesday and Thursday. But still an overall dry weather pattern.
