A Little Rain But Plenty Of Warm Air To End April

A Little Rain But Plenty Of Warm Air To End April

April 21WeatherMapThursday April 21 – The jet stream has been stuck for a while. This is what has kept the flooding raining Texas while we have remained dry. The beautiful stretch of weather has been nice payback for the late end of winter. Baltimore is 1.17 inches of rain below average for the month. You might be surprised to know that Baltimore is 0.7°F below average for the monthly temperature to day. That will surely change in the last 10 days of the month.

Today will show a change for us with more cloud cover. But the rain should stay west in the mountains. Rain on the way for Friday will be the fastest this pattern will move, so don’t worry about it getting stuck here. It will come in two sections. The morning will bring light showers, but mid afternoon and evening will bring some thunderstorms. This will be followed by a slight cool down but another great weekend. Then the next warm up will follow. Here is a look at Friday rain timeline… Note: A similar pattern happened last May with routine flooding in Texas which was followed by or wettest June on record.
