Fog this morning will give way to breaks not only in the cloud but in the record books. Another record high temperature will be reset today, but a lot. The old record of 65°F was set in 1949, but we are aiming for 70°F or better. That would make 4 record highs this month we can credit to El Nino. So shorts the call for yet anther December Ravens game. Rain will move in, with a slight chance of a thunderstorm this evening, and that will mark the beginning of the end for the extreme weather. Severe storms still rage in the south, as a tornado outbreak overnight near Dallas may be responsible for 8 deaths. This southern energy is part of the same large storm that brought a blizzard to New Mexico and western Texas, plus the severe storms. Here is the progression of the storm risk today and tomorrow, staying in the deep south. Large hail and damaging winds along with more tornadoes are possible.
