London fog is nothing new. In fact it is the feature of classic films, pictures, and even the clothing company founded right in Baltimore in 1923 (before relocating to Eldersburg, Maryland). But the latest round of fog has taken a new perspective with the combination of air travel and social media. Photos from the air, and even one video of planes taking off from the ground have gone viral. It is a new perspective with the buildings poking though the low cloud deck that many have never seen before.
Fall is common for fog due to longer, colder nights while places surrounded by warmer water supplies moisture the air can’t hold. I just posted a few pics and videos from Lake Marburg and Loch Raven last week. But the pics and video shown below are much more impressive.
