Beware the ides of October? The recent storm to hit California on October 15 resulted in mudslides up to 5 feet deep trapping cars and has shut down Interstate 5. This is a major artery connecting Los Angeles to the central valley to the north. It is the start of the rainy season, but is this a precursor to the record challenging El Nino? Will it be an epic winter of storms? The latest outlook is leaning that way, but dealing with the matter at hand now is taking a massive effort.
