Screen Shot2015-10-13 06_20_02I was about to say this would be the last warm day this week, but it sounds familiar. Typical fall weather has brief warm ups followed by progressively cooler air. That is the main story now. A cold front to our west looks impressive, but is lined up such a way that most of the rain will not pass the mountains. The breeze will pick up but the afternoon will reach the 70s. The colder air arrives overnight and tomorrow.

A second cold front on Friday will be the pattern change, buckling the jet stream from northern Canada and bringing  very chilly air in this weekend. This will impact the Baltimore Running Festival with a breeze and afternoon temps that might stay in the 50s. This air mass might also result in the first frost of the season Sunday morning.

Simulated Radar:

The rain to the west should dry up. Just a small chance of showers this morning, and isolated shower for Delmarva this afternoon.
