After a round of showers this morning, the sun has been breaking back between the clouds. This will help bump temperatures into the upper 70s to near 80F by mid afternoon and provide some fuel for the cold front to develop strong storms.  The timing is essentially the same, but the intensity of the storm line supports the ‘marginal’ risk for some cells to turn severe.  Rain may linger for a few hours after the main push, so this might impact your evening. As for the weekend, it looks like the front keeps moving southward past Ocean City and Virginia Beach, making for a better Saturday.
