SandiegoWave
The waves from the major earthquake off the Chilean Coast are reaching the US. This measurement from San Diego was seen this morning, and may not look large, but a distinct connection from across the ocean. Below is a measurement of a 20 meter water spike from a buoy off the coast of Chile in direct connection to the initial 8.3M earthquake on September 16. Also see maps from the National Tsunami Warning Center.

Now see the transfer of energy across the Pacific Ocean from the 8.3M earthquake that struck on September 16, 2015.  There have been numerous aftershocks as expected, as high as 7.0M, so more waves were generated and traversing the ocean. Notice the impact north to Hawaii, Alaska, and west to New Zealand.
