IMG_2371The radar image from 6:40 PM also showed the Tornado Warning that expires at 7:00PM. This includes southern Somerset and Worcester Counties in Maryland. It was spotted by Doppler Radar near Pocomoke City and racing east at 50 mph. *UPDATE: A new Tornado Warning was issued until 7:30 PM. See below.

Severe storm awareness gets even more serious when tornados are possible. and all down the road need to keeps a look out. So there is no guarantee for the worst in Ocean City or the Delaware Beaches, but pay attention this evening.

The general movement was toe the east, but other cells were moving northeast. This is in line with the morning forecast of storms and potential severe weather on the eastern shore. This will be the last of it, but worth watching until 10 PM until this clears the beaches.

The worst appears to be passing south of Ocean City, but still worth watching for more cells behind it moving northeast.

I have not found a reliable model today, so we will have to wing this. Even the storms just on the southern side of Baltimore into Anne Arundel County might have borderline severe limit with wind gusts.
