Screen Shot2015-08-20 06_44_25It is warm, humid, and late in the summer for this steamy air. So you know it has to break. A cold front is on the way, which will bring in much nicer weather for the weekend, but we have to get through a turbulent day today. Considering the wind is already from the southeast, a prime direction off of the Atlantic and Chesapeake to enhance our rainfall, more energy today will only increase the storms. A Flash Flood Watch has been posted for central Maryland after 4 PM to include Baltimore, Washington, and Annapolis. Up to 2 inches of rain may fall in local downpours.  But rain has already developed, and more is on the way. Here is a brief look at the simulated radar to gauge the timeline. There will not be many breaks, so most of your plans should be adjusted indoors. Even on the Eastern Shore and beaches.
