TueEveTuesday failed to reach 90F in Baltimore at BWI even with a surge of southwest winds and slightly drier air. This makes a full 14 days staying below that mark in this summer without a summer. It also was a day without rain, so you know we are due. This slow moving cold front is heading our way and has produced severe storms in western Pennsylvania during the evening. Tracking the progress with the first model available, the NAM/WRF simulated radar does bring in rain for the morning. Then it puts a focus around Washington to Annapolis and then on to Dover for a cluster of strong afternoon storms.  The outlook for reaching severe levels is marginal, but there is always a chance one or two reach with damaging wind or hail.  Here is a quick view at the rainfall simulation starting with every two hours in the morning to hourly time stamps in the afternoon.
