Friday September 24
Now that the last cold front has clear the coast, the newest cold air mass is settling in with some chilly temps this morning. Check out the 40s and 50s on the map.
Milestone: Today is the last day of the calendar year with sunset at 7 PM in Baltimore.
Recent Rainfall Map
Official numbers from The National Weather Service shows the last storm was an overachiever. Central Maryland received between 1 and 5 inches of rain, which is why there were so much flash flooding and water rescues.

Tropical Outlook
Hurricane Sam is the headline system in the Atlantic now.
This quickly ramped up to 75 mph in a day after being named. This is very far away but worth tracking for the potential.
Hurricane Sam Forecast – 5 Days
This is expected to become a Major Hurricane this weekend. Max sustained winds will be over 115 mph, and the potential is to reach Category 4 intensity or higher.
The track will be close enough to monitor for the end of next week.
