We are still warm and humid and a sarcastic response would state that is simply summer weather. But we have this set up with subtle triggers in the atmosphere that can help spark strong storms.
The good news is that we will calm the weather tomorrow, but the flip side is that our weekend weather looks more stormy.
Morning Surface Weather
The map looks a lot like yesterday. Like yesterday, it will be hot and humid, with scattered storms. But the subtle influence in the atmosphere is not easy to find.

The percent of the area that ‘should’ get it,
And
The odds you in your location get a storm. Today, it’s the portion of our region. If you are in southern or western Maryland, it will be lower than 40%.

Sunshine State Of Mind
I am done with the cold and snow (for the season). I am embracing my wife’s mantra of Sunshine State of Mind.
This was designed by Shannon Berk and we will be wearing it through spring and to the beach.
Double Benefit: Proceeds will be split between our nonprofit Just In Power Kids and the development of my new weather website. That has been scheduled to be ready to launch in May.
