June 11 Weather Cool And Wet Again

Another back door cool front has moved through our region. This is what was responsible for the heavy rain and flooding yesterday.

Technically the daily high temperature for BWI will be 70ºF since that was the midnight number, but the day will be spent in the 60s for most of the region.

If this looks familiar, it is similar to the pattern we had on Memorial Day Weekend. This time, it’s two weeks later with stronger sun angle and warmer water temps. That will limit the impact and duration, so we will modify over the next few days.

The frontal boundary has stalled to our south in Virginia. The east to northeast winds will keep the damp feeling to the air along with a steady cluster of rain showers.

We may not be able to fully shake the risk for rain over the weekend, but the daylight hours will be mostly dry.
