Sunday April 25 2021
This could have been one of the best outcomes for our weekend weather. The bulk of the rain fell overnight and ended this morning. Even if you have s leftover shower, it will be done soon.
Most of our region received over 1/5 inch of rain, with spots near 1 inch, and now we get some wind to dry out the surface while the plants soak up the rest. Next up: Summer Heat this week.
Morning Surface Weather
As Low Pressure departs, gusty winds will build in from the Northwest. This will dry out the surface by mid day with a return of sunshine.

We build in a Ridge that will warm us up mid week. The next Trough will be Low Pressure at the end of the work week with rain and a cool down.
Friday: Coastal Storm
Rain is likely to arrive on Thursday, then enhance with this storm off the coast Friday.
Temperature Outlook
It will feel like spring today and tomorrow.
The summer preview comes Tuesday through Thursday. You may see only one day in the 80s, but there is a tendency for BWI to report warmer than forecast (and much of the region. So we may have 2 or 3 days this week in the 80s. Quite a contrast to the snow showers last week.
Sunshine Sate Of Mind
I am done with the cold and snow (for the season). I am embracing my wife’s mantra of Sunshine State of Mind.
This was designed by Shannon Berk and we will be wearing it through spring and to the beach.
Double Benefit: Proceeds will be split between our nonprofit Just In Power Kids and the development of my new weather website. That has been scheduled to be ready to launch in May.
