April 19 Weather Southern Rain Then Warming Then Storms And Snow

Rapid changing weather continues in this wild April. After a nice end to the weekend, this morning we are tracking rain that will impact southern Maryland. But a stray shower may be possible in metro areas later.

Tomorrow will surge temps to bear 70ºF, only to be followed by a strong cold front. This will be part of a storm expected to bring record snow to Michigan. That will bring snow to western Maryland, but thunderstorms to metro areas, followed by one or two mornings with frost.

With the exception of tomorrow, the overall pattern remains cooler than average.

Most of the rain will fall in southern Maryland and into Delaware. However a late day shower may pop up in the mountains and inland suburbs.

Western Maryland (Garrett County) will get another push of snow showers.

Meanwhile the cold front should bring thunderstorms to metro areas by early afternoon (12 PM to 3 PM)

Temperature Outlook

After a brief warm up, then storms, we could get two mornings with frost into metro areas. Almost a certainty for inland areas Thursday and Friday morning.

Then temperatures remain cooler than average.
