The better part of today’s weather will be this morning. Clouds will be on the increase and rain will begin to roll in during the afternoon. In fact, temperatures will peak around noon, then turn cooler with the rain… and stay chilly for a while.
There is a risk of ‘showers’ most days through the weekend, but that does not mean washouts. Here’s a look, which includes snow for western Maryland AND some possible “frosty morning’s” for the inland suburbs.
Morning Surface Weather
It is looking a little more like late winter again. Snow expected in The Rockies, and the cold air we’ve tracked from Alaska is heading across the Great Lakes. This will bring us our chilly pattern and snow for western Maryland and New England later this week.

Showers end early Thursday, then return Friday afternoon.
I highlighted in purple the mornings when inland frost is more likely.
Storm Animation: 8 AM Thursday to 8 AM Friday
- Reversal of fortune: Spotty morning showers locally Thursday morning should lead to clearing.
- Look left/west: Notice the blue shading = snow in western Maryland.
This forecast is set for Baltimore at BWI. I’ve highlighted the coolest mornings where inland areas are likely to have frost.
Sunshine Sate Of Mind
I am done with the cold and snow (for the season). I am embracing my wife’s mantra of Sunshine State of Mind.
This was designed by Shannon Berk and we will be wearing it through spring and to the beach.
Double Benefit: Proceeds will be split between our nonprofit Just In Power Kids and the development of my new weather website. That has been scheduled to be ready to launch in May.
